Syracuse, N.Y. -- J.C. Penney on Thursday released a list of the 154 stores it plans to close in the first phase of the troubled department store chain’s downsizing.
The stores will close this summer, with store closing sales taking 10 to 16 weeks to complete. J.C. Penney filed for reorganization under Chapter 11 of U.S. Bankruptcy Code on May 15.
