ALBANY, WI- Authorities in Green County are looking for a newborn girl reported missing Saturday in the village of Albany.
Green County Sheriff Jeff Skatrud and Albany Police Chief Robert Ritter said the girl was born on January 5 at a home in Albany and then taken from the home by her father.
The father told authorities he gave the baby to a friend and the child has not been seen since.
The father did not give police the identity of the friend.
The person could be driving a gray Chevrolet Equinox.
Anyone with information about the newborn’s whereabouts should call the Green County Sheriff’s Office at (608) 328-9400. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should contact the Green County Crimestoppers at 1-800-422-7463.
