The patient rode on Greyhound #252, which arrived in Rochester at around 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10. County officials say the video showed the patient wearing a mask and gloves while riding the bus.
At a press event earlier this week, Monroe County Health Officials said the man who tested positive flew from Rome to JFK Airport, arriving in New York state Tuesday morning.
Seven people who were on the bus and disembarked in Rochester were contacted and are asymptomatic and in quarantine, according to county officials.
The department is asking people to call 585-753-5164 during business hours or 585-753-5905 on nights and weekends with any information about who was on the bus.
Greyhound released the following statement on the situation:
"At Greyhound, the safety of our customers and team members is of utmost importance. While we are unable to provide personal information regarding passengers, we can confirm we were informed an individual traveling on schedule #252 on March 10th in Rochester, NY tested positive for the coronavirus. We’re working closely with local public health officials as they inform passengers who may have been impacted. In addition to our routine pre and post trip sanitation procedures, we took additional precautions by removing the bus from service for a thorough disinfection. A thorough sanitization of our Syracuse, New York City and Rochester locations has been completed as well.
