TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office and The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office are both looking for suspects of an armed robbery in Grantville and in North Topeka.
Sheriff Brian Hill says they are seeking the community’s assistance locating the suspect in an armed robbery that occurred in the 4200 block of NW Topeka Boulevard.
According to Sheriff Hill, the Shawnee County Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call reporting an armed robbery in the 4200 block of NW Topeka Boulevard shortly after 4 P.M.
Shawnee Co. officials say the suspect is described as a white male, in his mid-20s, about 5 feet and 10 inches to 6 feet and 2 inches tall.
The suspect is wearing a black hoodie with white writing down the left sleeve, blue jeans, face mask and armed with a shotgun.
Officials say the suspect arrived in a brownish colored four door Pontiac passenger car with a blue tarp covering the back window. Then, the suspect left the scene and committed two more armed robberies in Jefferson County.
Also, the Jefferson County Emergency Manager, Keith Jeffers, says in a Facebook post the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the same suspect’s vehicle occupied with 4 suspects.
Jeffers says an armed robbery happened at Presto in Grantville, KS around 5 P.M. on Saturday afternoon.
Jeffers says the suspect possibly has Shawnee County license plate tags.
Officials say the vehicle was last seen around the east side of Jefferson County along K-4 Highway between Perry and Valley Falls.
One of the suspects is carrying a weapon and it’s seen as a Camo covered shotgun.
Police say the suspects are known to be armed and dangerous.
Sheriff Hill asks anyone with information to please contact Detective Harmon (785-251-2267).
The incident is under investigation.
