An investigation is underway after a recent theft from the Kay Jewelers store on Green River Road in Evansville, according to the Evansville Police Department.
According to police, the theft took place on June 18 around 5:30 p.m.
Originally, officers were dispatched to the Kay Jewelers store for a panic alarm, but while en route, the nature of the situation changed to a theft in progress.
Though officers were unable to locate the suspect after arriving, they've now released security camera images from when the theft took place.
The suspect is described by the department as a black male who was seen wearing red shorts, a grey shirt, and a Chicago Cubs baseball hat.
