Nasty Looking Storm in Blount County; Tornado Warning Continues for Northern Blount County - alabamawx.com

There have been reports of a funnel cloud in Blount County and the pictures are ugly looking, but we don’t know of any tornadoes that are ion the ground.

Here was the view from Blount 911 Tower Cam in Oneonta looking SW at 5:49:

This was looking NW from Oneonta at 5:57 p.m.

Here is the radar:

There are now reports of multiple trees down along 231 near Rosa, north of Oneonta at Highway 33. Troopers report a tornado touch down there.

This storm will move into Marshall County shortly. It will pass near Albertville.

Fultondale Fire is responding for mutual aid with Mt. Olive in the 5400 block of Shady Grove Road for numerous trees down.
