UPDATE (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin Crime Alert Network released a statewide alert for Emery Foust Thursday afternoon.
Dodgeville Police Chief David Bauer tells 27 News an official search party is being organized and will hopefully begin within the 6 p.m. hour -- it will begin where the boy was last seen. The search group will include Dodgeville Police, Iowa County Sheriff's Office, other local law enforcement and Wisconsin Canine SOS.
The search party will trail out from his last known sighting.
Officials asking the public to keep on the lookout for the boy but are not asking the public to take part in search efforts at this point.
According to the alert, Emery was last seen on foot at approximately 1:40 a.m. near the intersection of N. Main Street and W. Spring Street in Dodgeville.
The alert said Emery suffers from some kind of cognitive disability, but did not specify any further.
DODGEVILLE (WKOW) -- Dodgeville Police are looking for any information on a missing boy, who was last seen early Thursday morning.
Emery Foust is 13 years old.
According to a Facebook post from the department, he went missing after 1:25 a.m. Thursday, wearing a blue jean jacket, black pants, black shirt and cowboy boots.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Dodgeville police at (608) 935-3238.
