Police looking for driver accused of hitting, killing woman in uptown - WSOC Charlotte

CHARLOTTE — Police are searching for the driver they said hit and killed a woman in uptown Charlotte early Sunday and then drove off.

The collision happened around 3:45 a.m. on South Tryon Street near Trade Street.

Police identified the victim as 37-year-old Fran Kelly.

Officers said they are looking for a red Ford Expedition SUV. If you see it, call police right away.

No other information has been released.
