WorkNet Batavia encourages all unemployed and dislocated workers looking for work to visit 143 First Street in Batavia. The center is a one-stop-shop providing career resources for all job seekers and employers in Kane, Kendall, and DeKalb counties.

WorkNet Batavia seeks to serve unemployed, underemployed, laid-off and dislocated job seekers who are looking for work.

WorkNet Batavia’s Career Resource Center provides free career services such as access to computers, internet, copiers, and fax machines, in addition to on-site coaching services which includes resume reviews, Job search assistance and interviewing skills.

Through several federally funded training programs provided under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, eligible job seekers can update their skills and become more marketable to employers. Individuals can get up to $10,000 in training grants to obtain skills in high demand careers such as nursing, truck driving, IT and management.
