The U23s arrived at their Stirling University base on Monday afternoon, where the side, who are currently being led by former Tranmere and Shrewsbury Town boss Michael Jackson, is spending six days in a pre-season training camp.
The Clarets will face a Rangers XI on Wednesday afternoon at the Glasgow club’s training ground, before taking part in a second friendly on Saturday on their way back to Lancashire.
And left-back Owen Dodgson admits the group are looking forward to kicking off their pre-season schedule and have enjoyed the first few days over the border.
“First of all, it’s good to be back and I’ve enjoyed the first couple of days in Scotland. It’s been a good graft," said Dodgson, who signed his first professional contract with the Clarets when he clocked on for pre-season.
