The Habitat for Humanity of Marion County is looking for homeowners in Marion County who are in need.
The program is designed to assist homeowners with needed repairs or to address health, safety, and code issues in the home. The program does not cover cosmetic changes or repairs. Assistance is provided in the form of a zero-interest, deferred payment loan, forgivable after 15 to 20 years.
Contractors must be pre-approved and in good standing on the county’s approved contractors list. Experienced staff help you through the process, handle the bid/contract process, and oversee all work to ensure that all work meets our high standards of workmanship.
There are no monthly loan payments as long as the resident remains in the home as a primary residence. After 20 years, the loan is completely forgiven.
The annual income limits for the program indicate that a family of four must make a minimum of $26,500 and a maximum of $40,050.
