Looking Ahead to Midweek Rain and Snow in the Northeast - WeatherNation

By the middle of the week, an area of low pressure will track up the East Coast and bring chances for rain and snow to the region.

The amount of activity will depend on the location of the low pressure as it progresses across the coast. Rain and snow will be possible and temperatures will be cold enough Wednesday morning to support snowfall.

By Wednesday night, the low pressure track will be pushing north.

The Global Forecast System (GFS) has been showcasing the low pressure to remain closer to the coast. This would bring in heavier snow to places in New England and portions of the Mid Atlantic.

In opposition, the European model is keeping the track farther offshore. This would bring less coverage in snow across the region. Washington, Philadelphia, and New York could still see impacts.
